A Front Advancing Adaptive Triangular Mesh Dynamic Generation Algorithm and Its Application in 3D Geological Modeling

The traditional advancing front technique algorithm encounters many problems due to the complex geometric characteristics of edge shape. These include poor quality, a slow algorithm, low robustness, and inability mesh unit converge. To address these problems, an optimized adaptive triangular dynamic generation called R-TIN is proposed applied 3D engineering geological modeling in this study. Firstly, all shapes involved inward were classified into four types, then optimal was constructed by using candidate point heuristic algorithm. Then, robustness could be maintained graded concession included angle threshold adjacent front-line segments. Finally, based on 160 boreholes study area, model accuracy visualization effect overall have been greatly improved, which can better present spatial distribution strata lithological characteristics. At same time, used geoscience information services support regional or national exploration resources energy, sustainable development utilization, environmental protection prevention disasters.
